EB-5 Project Evaluation Checklist

EB-5 project must have its Form I-956F approved by USCIS to make sure it is compliant
Projects in rural TEA benefit investors with priority processing and faster adjudication times
Project's capital structure: LTC value (not higher than 65%), share of EB-5 funds, all sources of financing and repayment priority
EB-5 capital investment type: Loan (maturity date defined) or Equity (no maturity date)
Number of projected jobs created by the project (the more, the better)
Terms of capital repayment, exit strategy
Security for repayment of EB-5 loan (securities, real property, other assets)
Track record of management company (approvals, past project issues, repayment). Developer's, general contractor's track record
Management company and developer should not be affiliated
Does project have approved investors' petitions
Project's stage of development
Market for project's services (analyze financial projections)
